TÜV certification / Xenic

Is the Xenic TÜV-certified? At the current time, there is no corresponding standard for pin bindings. Quality and safety are priorities for Fritschi and therefore, the company has established a comprehensive and very sophisticated test system. All models are tested according to the DIN/ISO standard 13992 for ski touring bindings. The settings can be checked by a specialized dealer with a test instrument for bindings. Production and work processes are periodically inspected by TÜV.

Blocking the release / Xenic

Can the front release of the Xenic be blocked? When climbing uphill the Xenic is blocked at the toe as are all pin bindings with lateral release in the heel. Going downhill the Xenic provides secure support and will not release until the set force is reached. An impact from below can't open the front binding system. It does not have to be blocked. Blocking the release function of a binding for downhill skiing may cause considerable injuries. Innovative toe
