There is natural abrasion on moving parts. Therefore, they have to be greased with a water-repellent and cold-resistant grease (-30° C).

When climbing uphill the Xenic is blocked at the toe as are all pin bindings with lateral release in the heel.
Going downhill the Xenic provides secure support and will not release until the set force is reached. An impact from below can't open the front binding system. It does not have to be blocked.
Blocking the release function of a binding for downhill skiing may cause considerable injuries.

Alpine boots for children are compatible with the Scout only when you see the letter A on the sole of the boot (approx. from Mondo 22.0 on). This means that the boot was built in accordance with DIN ISO 5355 (alpine boots for adults). If you see the letter C, they are made according the standrads of children boots and are not compatible.

When you change from the ski to the walk position in back, it is important to do it in two steps as shown on the picture or video:
